UIN

What is UIN and how can I use it?

UIN is your personal identification number from the SeeStorm website which you receive after registering. Your UIN is unique, unlike your nickname; there can be several users with the same nickname, but no two users can have the same UIN.

The UIN allows you to find a user, look up his/her nickname and add the user to your Buddy list. You can also use UINs to connect to other users.

Can I register several UINs and work with different UINs?

Yes, you can. But you will need to login to Messenger with each UIN one at a time (use Change User command from Tools menu). You can also use different UINs on different computers, and it would be wise to use different nicknames.

How will I know under which UIN I'm working at the moment?

Your current UIN will be displayed at the top of the SeeStorm Messenger main window.

I have registered several UINs. How can I change them?

Click the Change User command in the Tools menu to go to the SeeStorm website. SeeStorm Messenger stores your last UIN and password. Next time, SeeStorm Messenger will start with the UIN and password you used last time.
